Content Management
Webtreepro's Content Management System is what sets it apart from off-the-shelf CMS applications. Publishing content across one, dozens, hundreds or even thousands of sites makes network management possible and easy. Allowing individual site administrators to collaborate by publishing localized relevant content is an extraordinary difference.
Parent to Child Publishing
Contributors for the parent site have a set of tools that determines what happens network-wide. When creating pages or content, the parent site user determines the following:
Will this page be available for my child sites?
Sometimes, you'll have pages on your parent site that are not destined to be displayed by the rest of the network. This could be your job listings, legal disclaimers, business opportunities or other "corporate only" content.
Can my child site users edit this page, or is it locked down?
You may have a page that is bound for every site, but should never be edited. This ensures that no local content can be added to the page, nor can it be changed in any way.
Is this page required or optional?
You can even create pages that each child site manager can opt into--this is a great way to provide added-value content for your network.
Which child sites should get this page?
You may even designate pages to be published on a site-by-site basis, which helps you limit who can display special content such as elite dealer status or participation in certain programs.
Blending Content on the Same Page
You may also have pages on your child sites which feature content both from the headquarters site as well as locally contributed. Similar to the page setting, each piece of Headquarter content can be designated for sharing, editability, required vs. optional and even site-specific placement.
Scheduled Content
Webtreepro supports delayed publishing and pre-set expiration. As you're adding a page or a content element to an existing page, you can set the Start and End date.
This tool is perfect for promotions, holiday messages, limited time offers or other time sensitive material. It's also a great tool to ensure that stale content doesn't appear on your site.
Finally, scheduling the Start Date in the future allows you to finalize an entire schedule of future promotions and the appearance of your content is on autopilot.
Private Content
Do you have some content that should only be available to special customers? How about making hidden content available to your network--like instructions about the current promotion?
By using the Visibility feature of webtreepro, you can provide additional pages and content to special users.
For example, you have established a section of your sites with added-value content that's only for your best customers. You can issue usernames and passwords to those customers and they will have access to these areas once they log in.
Another way to use visibility is to add content to your "open" pages that are marked to only be seen by employees. This way, you could put instructions right on your promotional pages that will tell your logged-in employees how to fulfill a specific promotion from that page.
