Intranets and Extranets

If you have privileged content that should only be seen by authorized visitors, then webtreepro's intranet and extranet capabilities make it happen.  There are several key features that enable this:

Role-based Access

As users are added they are assigned a role that you've defined.  Roles define what a logged-in user can do at a site.  For example, some roles may only have viewing privileges while others have content editing capability. 

By creating roles, you're able to quickly add new users that have a pre-packaged set of capabilities.  You can create an unlimited number of roles, providing tremendous flexibility in terms of who can see or do what while at your sites.

Private Content

When you create or edit existing content, you can determine if it should only be accessed by authorized users.  Content may be visible to one, some or all roles. You can even have mixed visibility on a single page, allowing you to present different content depending on the visitor's role.  You can create pages or entire sections of your site(s) that are only visible to privileged users.  Here's an example of this visibility option:

• For your next national promotion, you could embed fulfillment instructions right on the consumer-facing page where the offer appears--only your logged in users will see the instructions!

Other uses are to provide special content to elite customers, or make other valuable resources such as downloads, commission structures, policies and procedures, etc., only available to certain roles like employees, managers or others.

Upload/Download Resources

Using the Libary, you can upload files, images, documents or other items that you want to make available to site visitors.  Some of these items may be privileged and therefore only accessible to logged in users with the designated privilege.  When you add a downloadable item to a page, you can designate which roles can access the link.
